A few years ago, Ox came to me with an outrageous plan to completely revolutionize the firearms training industry.
There was a problem…almost all civilian and law enforcement firearms training is set up to get people to perform to a given standard by the end of the course.
This gives the students head knowledge, but without high volume practice, the head knowledge never gets cemented into the subconscious and 80% of what’s learned slips away in a few short weeks.
It’s the same as “cramming” for a test in school, with the same mediocre long term results.
Only with a gun, your “test” isn’t at the end of your training, it’s days, months, or years later when you find yourself in a life-or-death situation and have to perform instantly and flawlessly.
This lack of practice is a big reason why law enforcement has a 15-25% hit ratio…and, depending on the department, those numbers include suicides, negligent discharges where the officer hits themselves or someone else, shots on animals, and sniper shots.
Ox had a vision to change this.
Why not get instructors to not only teach students the skills and techniques necessary to perform to a given standard, but also send them home with practice drills that they could do with an empty firearm to hardwire the lessons from the course into their unconscious mind so that they could perform at a higher level under stress.
This one extra step would give instructors many times more life-changing leverage with their students at a minimal time and financial cost.
Being realists, we knew that most firearms instructors are incredibly busy and don’t have the time to come up with high-quality take home practice material for their students, so we wrote “Tactical Firearms Training Secrets” with input from Special Forces Colonel, Randy Watt, Force Recon Marine, “BM.D.”, Navy SEAL, Lt. Larry Yatch, and dozens more.
Tactical Firearms Training Secrets will show you how to PROPERLY use dry fire, airsoft, and mental imagery to get incredibly fast and wicked accurate with a pistol as fast as possible at the lowest possible cost.
And, if you’re wondering, this is the book that inspired Dry Fire Training Cards!
If you haven’t checked it out yet, I want to encourage you to do so right now. It’s less than $10 on my site or a little bit more on Amazon (there’s a link to where you can buy it on Amazon on the next page), so there’s really no reason not to take action right now.

August 1, 2016I ORDERED DRY FIRE CARDS AN HAVE BEEN USING AT HOME. AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS OF DRY DIRE I WENT TO THE RANGE AN I COULD NOT BELEIVE HOW MORE ACCURATE I WAS .I WAS ABLE TO KEEP INSIDE A 5 IN CIRCLE FOR 12 ROUNDS. FAR FROM THE OLD WAY OF 5-7-6-8- IT WAS CRAZY. WOULD DEFINETELY RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GETTHE CARDS AN WATCH THE CHANGE IN THERE SHOOTING.

September 29, 2015Hi Jack,
I’d consider getting a SIRT training pistol from Next Level Training. They aren’t capable of firing projectiles and are the safest way to do dry fire. It has become my primary inert training tool.
