4 Corners Drill -Shooting on the move — Sample drill from Dry Fire Training Cards

Shooting on the move is more of a controversial topic than you may think.

For some people, shooting on the move throws their accuracy and safety off so much that it’s not a good idea.

For other people, they have to move so slow to be able to make hits that it makes more sense to run to where you’re going and THEN draw & shoot.

But you CAN move fast and shoot accurately at the same time:

It’s important to remember that there’s 2 components to moving and shooting. There’s the skill component and there’s the tactical component.

This video covers the skill component. The tactical component can be debated ad nauseam and is something you need to cover AFTER you build the skill set.

No matter what your physical condition, shooting on the move is a vital skill.

More than half of all self-defense uses of a firearm begin with a physical confrontation so if you don’t figure it out now, you may be FORCED to figure out how to shoot on the move when lives are on the line.

Everyone is going to have a different performance envelope based on age, physical condition, and how well you can move.

Shooting and moving may mean running for some or shuffling for others, but everyone should know what they can and can’t do.

I’m going to have a presentation in the next few on Dynamic Gun Fighting so, if you’ve got any questions you’d like me to cover, let me know.

This is a very misunderstood part of shooting.

Most people go to one of 2 extremes…they either do all static shooting and expect to magically be able to shoot on the move or they do dynamic training that’s so overwhelming that their performance tanks.

And most shooting-on-the-move training simply shows shooters how much they suck without giving them a step-by-step system to get better.

There’s a very specific step-by-step approach to training to shoot moving targets while you’re moving that only a handfull of shooters in the world are aware of that we’ll be covering.

But, regardless of where you’re at right now, the combination of Dry Fire Training Cards and 21 Day Alpha Shooter will give you the foundation that you need to move on to dynamic gun fighting for a fraction of the cost of what it would cost with live fire training.  Learn more and take the first step today by clicking >HERE<

Hi Ox, thanks for all the GREAT info and products you’ve made available – Alpha Shooter in particular has truly made all the difference in functionalizing skills for guys like me who have limited range time. Can you give a quick discussion on UTM and similar training rounds? Or if you did and I missed it, where can I find it?

    Thanks, stay safe…

I’ve used UTM on a couple videos in https://UpgradedShooter.com but I haven’t gone into a ton of detail on UTM on the blog. Which other training rounds are you curious about?

Can I get the “Ox Special” dry fire training pistol in the M&P version along with the “21 day alpha shooter program”?

Hey Dwight, we haven’t done that in the past with the 107, but we can. The M&P SIRTs are significantly more expensive than the Glock SIRTs because of the fact that there is no polymer option for the M&Ps.

Let me know when you’re ready to go and I’ll get you exact pricing. It’ll be close to what NLT shows on their site…I’ve got minimum advertised price restrictions, but you’ll get our training + some other bonuses.
